Shut up and Drive

I never thought I would see the day I would become a ‘midi-dress’ type of girl. To be honest, I never really understood the idea behind the midi. But all of that changed the day I saw this little number hung in Forever 21, with a bright coloured $5 sign above it. Yes ladies, and gentlemen… this dress was five bucks. Obviously the best $5 I ever spent.

I think the black and white checkered pattern really makes this dress. It takes the classic midi dress to another level. Its one of those fun, unique, sexy kind of dresses that you could honestly wear with anything. It’s that versatile.

I like to purchase items that I know I could pair with 50 different things in my closet. It just ends up being more beneficial for me in the long run. For instance, getting a dress like this, as intricate as it seems, you could pair it with tennis shoes and a pastel coloured cardigan. Or if you want to dress it up, you could slap on a pair of black strappy heels, a red lip, and tie your hair back in a bun.

Always think about the amount of ways you could wear an article of clothing before purchasing. #zeestips lol.

I paired this dress with black exaggerated buckle sandals also from Forever 21. The heels are reminiscent of those Saint Laurent Jane 105 Ankle Cuff Sandals… Just a tad bit more budget friendly lol.

Song of the day: Danity Kane – Sucka For Love. Hope everyone has a beautiful day!

xo, zee.
